Overview

Voiced (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a web application that converts voice recordings into social media content. This policy explains what data we collect when you use Voiced at getvoiced.co, how we use it, and your rights over it.

What we collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Audio recordings

When you record or upload audio, we temporarily store the file to perform transcription. Audio files are deleted after transcription is complete and are never used for any other purpose.

Transcripts and generated content

We store the text transcript of your recording and the content we generate from it (X threads, LinkedIn posts, newsletter drafts) so you can access and edit them later.

Voice samples (optional)

If you choose to connect your social accounts or provide previous posts for voice-matching, we store those samples to personalize the tone of generated content. You can delete them at any time from Settings.

Connected social accounts

If you connect X (Twitter) or LinkedIn, we store the OAuth tokens required to post on your behalf. We do not store your social media passwords.

Usage data

We collect basic usage information (pages visited, actions taken, errors) to diagnose issues and improve the product. This data is not sold or shared with advertisers.

How we use your data

  • To transcribe your audio and generate content on your behalf.
  • To save your sessions so you can review, edit, and publish content.
  • To mirror your writing style when voice-matching is enabled.
  • To post content to connected social accounts when you explicitly request it.
  • To send transactional emails (password reset, account notices). No marketing without your consent.
  • To diagnose errors and improve reliability.

Third-party services

Voiced uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy.

Anthropic

AI transcription and content generation. Your audio transcripts are sent to Anthropic's API to produce content. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models by default.

Vercel

Hosting and infrastructure. Vercel processes request data as part of serving the application.

MongoDB Atlas

Database storage for your account, sessions, and generated content.

X (Twitter) and LinkedIn

If you connect these accounts, we interact with their APIs solely to post content you approve.

Data retention

We retain your account data and sessions for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data, including transcripts, generated content, and connected account tokens, is permanently deleted within 30 days. Audio files are deleted immediately after transcription completes, regardless of account status.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Disconnect connected social accounts at any time from Settings.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Opt out of any non-essential data processing.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Children

Voiced is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the app before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
